A few factors play in to landing points.

If the parcel has a set landing point then that is where you go.

If the sim has a telhub that is where you go.

there is a map bug that can easly be overcome by clicking the EH twice and has a fix built in to the automap and RLV autoTP scripts.

If these are not a factor in your landing issues then I got nothing. I'm using the same viewer and have had no problems unless it is a telhub or set landing point.

Marlon Wulluf on "Stargate on OSgrid"

To add my point on OSgrid.

From my past experience with opensim, the developers of opensim have no intention of fixing or adding features to the LSL scripting engine, neither do they have any intention of using a better physics engine, all they are interested in, is how they can get opensim to better run on THEIR own servers, anyone that drops a suggestion or a bug is told, in no uncertain terms, "it works on our servers it's YOU, you don't know what you're doing, and you don't have any idea what opensim is all about, if you knew what you were doing, then you wouldn't complain and accept things the way they are. If you can't run opensim on your home server, then rent a server that DOES!!!!".

Suggestions will only be approved IF!, you have years of C# programming, and the head developer (name withheld), knows you personally, and ALL patches are under the total and sole approvement of the head developer.

Talking to the head developer is futile and a total waste of time.

I've since then stopped using opensim on my home server, and hopefully, find a different open source virtual system similar to opensim, but a lot better and more advanced, but still allow home servers to run their regions and connected to the better grid.

I support this function cause that means possibly less gates being rezzed and causing server lag. Of course we would then have to contact all those sandbox owners x3 Hopefully they'll be understanding :3

This part of the code will check if the prim creator is you, if its not, the script will self-destruct.

You can add the optional code to your state_entry to warn you if you have forgot to set the script permissions also.

default
{
	on_rez(integer start_param)
	{
 llResetScript();
	}
	state_entry()
	{
 if(llGetCreator() != "YOUR AVATAR KEY HERE")
 {
 llSay(0,"You don't have the authorisation ot move this script.");
 llRemoveInventory(llGetScriptName());
 }

 // OPTIONAL REMINDER WARNINGS

 //TRANSFER PERM
 if(llGetInventoryPermMask(llGetScriptName(), MASK_NEXT) & PERM_TRANSFER)
 {
 llSay(0, "Warning! Transfer permissions are set on " + llGetScriptName() + "!");
 }

 //MODIFY PERM
 if (llGetInventoryPermMask(llGetScriptName(), MASK_NEXT) & PERM_MODIFY)
 {
 llSay(0, "Warning! Modify permissions are set on " + llGetScriptName() + "!");
 }

 //COPY PERM
 if (llGetInventoryPermMask(llGetScriptName(), MASK_NEXT) & PERM_COPY)
 {
 llSay(0, "Warning! Copy permissions are set on " + llGetScriptName() + "!");
 }
	}
}

That's all, its a pretty fine and easy protection which could be always useful.

1* The acceslisst is to small. I only can add 3 AVs if I try to add a 4th one he trade the name of this one which is at last on the list.

2* I cant use the Group acces because the Transport Rings say "Group not found. Listen opened on channel 1. [Usage:] group:(group name here) / end. You must choose one of your groups from apez.groups [http://apez.biz/modules.php?name=General&op=groups]. I will listen for 30 seconds."
If I m loggin and click on Group he show me my groups and I have used the Apez Integration before too but still the same problem.

You should land behind the gate, the death system is designed to let you walk through the gate from the back side of an incoming wormhole without being TP'ed home. You can just walk through the back of the gate to simulate arrival. You can't walk through the back of a outgoing wormhole or the front of an incoming wormhole, also, the unstable vortex(kwoosh) will always kill you incoming or outgoing. Hope that clarifies.

I have noticed that most often then not, even at the Subnova gate, when you are TPed in by gate, you appear, BEHIND the EH..that means with the Death system active unless you wait for the gate to shut down or walk around the gate...you are unable to really EXIT through the gate on arrival at some locations. Other then removing the Death System is there anyway around that?

I hope this featured gets sorted, even if it just brings the even horizon up for effect without the dialing happening I think this would make more then a few people happy. I just started playing with the api and i thought that feature was awsome, i do however think its weird cause it is connecting to the other gate just fine, my gdo sends its data and gets a response with no issue and the chatter functions work just fine as well just the mapto event seems to be broken.

How difficult would it be to setup a network for using Alteran Stargates on OSgrid?
Setting up a separate network on the server, not hard. Getting the existing gate code to work on opensim - Difficult.

I don't know what it is about their LSL implementation, but it's breaking our otherwise working LSL scripts. This is not something I'm looking into much at the moment.

The implementation would also require blocking gates from dialing the rating restricted gate to prevent people from being stranded at the gate with no way to dial home.

This would effectively block most gates on the network from being able to dial the gate with the restrictions enabled.

Hey guys, and thanks for reading this. :-)

I would like to recommend that you add a maturity rating feature to the stargate, which does not allow the stargate to dial a Maturity Rating above a certain level.

For example:
If the owner selects not to allow the stargate to dial a Mature sim, it neither dials a mature sim, nor an adult content sim.

Thanks again for reading this guys. Let me know if you have any questions.
