Due to ongoing issues with the Alpha-Fox server Daedalus, a complete overhaul is underway. All DNS has been removed due to problems with the current servers, and a migration to a more reliable DNS provider is planned. The server has been backed up and is being reinstalled from scratch to resolve network address and service-related issues. Additionally, the router will be reset and reconfigured with proper safeguards. To further prevent future disruptions, a script will be implemented to update the server’s IP address every 5 minutes across multiple sources while verifying its accuracy. Apologies for the inconvenience, and updates will follow as progress is made.
Alpha-Fox is back online after identifying the issue—another computer on the network had taken the server's IP address, making it inaccessible. Measures have been put in place to prevent this from happening again. The plan to move to the Chimera server is still in progress, but for now, everything is up and running.
Attempts to restore the server remotely were unsuccessful. There is a small chance of accessing it on Wednesday, February 13, 2007, but it is unlikely. As a result, daedalus.alpha-fox.com will remain offline until Friday at approximately 5:00 P.M. Central Standard Time.
A temporary solution is being implemented to move the gate network to the Subnova Core-hosted server "Chimera" until either a static IP can be set up at home or enough funds are raised for new servers. Efforts are being made to restore service as soon as possible. Apologies for the ongoing issues.
