Subnova Network Outage 20081030 [RESOLVED]

There was an extended power outage at Subnova Core, causing all services to be down for about an hour while systems were recovered remotely. Subnova Core lacks an emergency power generator, making it vulnerable to outages longer than 20 minutes. All systems are back online, but users of crazyLabs Teleporter systems will need to manually reset scripts due to a change in response codes causing crashes when the backend server is unavailable.

REQUIRED Update 1.1.3 for Alteran Stargates

Version 1.1.3 of the Alteran Stargates has been released to fix a bug that caused a significant load on Chimera. Due to the impact on the server, this update is now required. Users are urged to update their gates as soon as possible to help alleviate the strain on the server.

Live Chat Now Available

Live Chat is now available through the Subnova IRC Network, allowing users to ask questions even when staff are not in-world. To use this feature, simply visit the Live Chat page (after logging in) on the Alpha-Fox website.

AFVI Improvements

A bug in the AFVI system was causing it to lock up for 10 seconds during each check, which resulted in AFVI communication servers pinging every 10 seconds instead of the intended 1 second. This issue has now been resolved and deployed to the grid, ensuring smoother communication.
